Dubrovnik & Split

Croatia's two most famous towns are a visit in themselves but can also be incorporated into a wider tour of the country. It is a delight to walk around both towns and our expert guides will bring them to life.

Tours & Regions

Dubrovnik, ‘pearl of the Adriatic’, is a beautiful maritime town whose walls have stood for over a thousand years. The view from the Minčeta Tower is unforgettable as are the atmospheric streets that have barely changed in 400 years. Its important to avoid busy times as the town is now flooded with tourists and our team can advise.

Split arches

Split has a unique heritage, evolving from a palace built by Roman Emperor Diocletian in 295 AD. The Palace remains one of the great Roman buildings of Europe and was in important influence on Western architecture. Today, it is the capital of Dalmatia and Croatia’s second city.

Taking a Boat

We recommend seeing these cities by boat and taking a week's navigation to explore more of the Dalmatian coast. You can begin in Split and navigate south to finish in Dubrovnik or vice versa.
